    Description: 
    Reliefs on building facade, above doorway and ground floor windows. The relief above the doorway consists of two figures, seen in profile, kneeling with their backs to each other. They each hold an airplane in their hands. They wear loins cloths and winged helmets. The two figures are connected by an abstract set of wings that spreads out behind them. The window reliefs depict organic or plant motifs. These panels are also connected with an abstract set of wings.

    The sculpture dates from 1929 and the building, designed by Holabird & Root, was then known as the Rand Tower. Nearby plaque reads: WHEN COMPLETED IN 1929,/THE RAND TOWER WAS THE/PREMIERE OFFICE BUILDING/IN MINNEAPOLIS,/DESIGNATED BY HOLABIRD AND ROOT/AND CONSTRUCTED BY C.F.HAGLIN AND SON/IT WAS CONCEIVED/BY RUFUS R. RAND/AND OWNED BY THE RAND HOLDING COMPANY/PLAQUE ERECTED BY/DAIN, KALMAN AND QUAIL/INCORPORATED."
