    Description: 
    A carved eagle stands on a sphere and grasps a banner in its beak. The eagle is set atop a tall pedestal of rough-faced granite. A bronze medallion of the Indiana state seal is set in the top of the pedestal. The entire monument stands on a two-part, rough-faced granite base.

    Remarks: 
    The monument commemorates the involvement of the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 21st Corps, 58th Regiment, Indiana Infantry at the Battle of Chickamauga during the Civil War. It was placed by the State of Indiana. The monument is on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures No. 08795.
