    Description: 
    A flat cut-out silhouette of an Indian chief wearing a feathered headdress. He holds a bow out to the side in his extended proper left hand. He draws back the bow and holds the arrow with his proper right hand. His back is towards the viewer and he appears to be supported by a metal rod which is attached to the rock. Painted silver, he stands atop a large piece of Tishomingo County rock. The sculpture was created using a coal chisel, hacksaw and file.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was created by employees of the National Park Service as part of the Civilian Conservation Corps, which built Tishomingo State Park. Pascal Eddings served as the model; Irby Buntin drew the design; Ernest Clausel made the sculpture; and Dexter Hamm and Houston Luttrell served as carvers. Clausel originally made three identical sculptures: one, placed at the entrance of Tishomingo State Park on old Highway 25 was stolen; the second, placed at the corner of Main and Polk Streets in Corinth was destroyed by a truck. This third surviving statue was formerly located at the Intersection of Highways 47 and 72. It was moved in the Spring of 1993 to the State Park.
