Wood relief around an interior doorway consists of a row of four boxes across the top, each containing a mask image. The two boxes on either end of the row contain mask-like images created with circular forms; between them there is a box containing an exclamation point image, and a box containing and image of a T.V. with a pair of hands on top. Two additional boxes flanking the doorway contain identical circular and curved pieces that make up the fifth mask image.

According to the artist's proposal for the commission, the sculpture uses "elements of abstracted gothic architectural ornament and iconic 'ornament' integrated with contemporary architectural components and icons. ... meant to blur the distinction between architectural 'ornament' and sculpture ... the elements include two sculptures on either end of the stairwell facade that are reconstructed from the famous arch between the transept and choir in Wells Cathedral."
