Description:
Earthen mound in the shape of the site is crowned with a large, abstract sculpture. The sculpture is balanced on a ball-bearing mechanism in such a way that a light breeze or human contact can cause it to rotate.

Remarks:
Commissioned by David Sunderland of Gates Land Company, the sculpture was executed at the Colorado College Art Department. The artist was an instructor at the College in 1973, and was assisted by recent graduates. It was originally located 100 feet east of its current location and was moved to make room for the Amoco Station. IAS files include related articles from the Gazette-Telegraph (Colorado Springs, CO), Aug. 17, 1973 and Jun. 5, 1985.
