Saint Francis, wearing a Franciscan habit with the hood on, sits with his legs crossed "Indian style" and his hands outstretched in front of him. The sculpture is mounted on a low, circular base with a semicircular wall-like section that surrounds the back of the sculpture and includes a plaque.
