Description:
An abstract sculpture of carved limestone with a highly textured surface, cross-hatched in some places. A series of prominent, horizontal lines are carved into the sculpture approximately one third of the way up.

Remarks:
The sculpture was created as part of an International Sculpture Symposium, organized by local sculptor Mel Fowler to commemorate the United States Bicentennial. Twenty-three sculptors were invited to participate. The sculptures were originally installed at Veterans Park (Myrtle & Main Streets). Because they were subject to vandalism over the years, they were moved in 1987 moved to their current site at Liberty Hill High School. IAS files contain transcription of a nearby plaque which provides biography of Mel Fowler and history of sculpture garden.
