Remarks:
James B. Hogg was lost at sea in 1854 in the sinking of the Arctic liner, one of the greatest maritime disasters of the period. IAS files contain related information from: Kidney, Walter, "Allegheny Cemetery: A Romantic Landscape in Pittsburgh", PMLF, 1990, pg. 113. The Allegheny Cemetery is a National Historic Landmark as of Dec. 10, 1980.
