Outdoor Sculpture -- Rhode Island -- Warwick
    Sculpture
    Owner:
Warwick Mall, 100 Warwick Mall, Parking lot, Warwick, Rhode Island 02886
    Remarks:
Commissioned by the Warwick Mall for $10,000 and funded by the developers and merchants associations at the Mall. Sculpture is a replica of a statue by George Brewster which stands atop the State House dome. The original, removed for restoration, was displayed briefly at the Mall. It proved to be so popular that after its removal this replica was commissioned. It was originally installed inside the Mall in 1976. In July 1992, it was moved to the parking lot. The SOS! survey gives the media as fiberglass and the attached related article from the Warwick Beacon, Jan. 8, 1976 states that the medium is a plastic similar to fiberglass.
