    Description: 
    Three stylized figures, two holding bayonets and the other with his proper right arm extended, pointing, originally holding something, now missing. The figures are in Revolutionary War uniforms with tri-corner hats, pocketbooks and canteens. The sculpture is mounted on a tapered base.

    The monument honors John Eager Howard, one of Maryland's Revolutionary War heroes. The sculpture was commissioned as part of the Market Center Redevelopment program and the park where the sculpture is sited was part of John Eager Howard's original estate.
