    Description: 
    Earthwork installation with a steel tube set in a concrete frame in an earth berm or mound. Views of the surrounding area are visible through the tube which acts as a frame.

    Remarks: 
    Sculpture was created by Bolliger who was at that time a graduate student at the University. Members of the 409th Army Reserve assisted with the labor of providing final grading and shaping of the earth. Approx. 6,000 cubic yards of earth were used in the installation. Estimated cost of the sculpture was $15,122. IAS files contain transcription of a nearby plaque which lists funding contributors. IAS files contain copy of related University of Washington inventory record, copies of related correspondence, and copy of artist's diagram. IAS files contain copies of related articles from Seattle Times, Aug. 5, 1979 and UW Daily, Oct. 11, 1979.
