Description:
The fountain rises between three masts (tallest 30 ft.), and four smaller ring fountains. Twelve high-relief panels on the surrounding structure and eleven smaller panels on the center structure, include abstract symbols related to the geological history of Tucson, the pre-history of Tucson, and the history of the preservation of water.

Remarks:
The fountain was designed and directed by Michael Lugo, of Blanton and Company. His assistant was Tony Grazino. The artwork was done by Charles Clement. Fabricators were M. M. Sundt Construction Company, who did the surround; and Johnson Construction Company, who did the center structure.
