    Description: 
    A fountain sculpture consisting of a series of flat metal "petals" organized around a metal chimney rests on a circular concrete base that is covered with flat smooth river rocks. Water gushes from the top of the chimney in five directions and cascades down and over the petals and river rocks into a circular concrete pool. The pool is painted blue on the inside.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was commissioned by Pima County and the City of Tucson for $2,500. Donald Haskin designed the metal fountain sculpture and the architectural firm, Blanton and Company, designed the pool and river rock base. The artist's inspiration for the fountain sculpture came from canyon waterfalls he viewed while on a hike. IAS files contain related articles from the Arizona Daily Star, July 22, 1971, pg. 3C; and the Tucson Daily Citizen, May 22, 1971, pg. 6-7.
