    Description: 
    Highly stylized bronze gates constructed of 1/8 in. bronze strips welded together into hollow frames. The open grill-work gates, which are installed in a semi-circular opening in a brick wall, consist of four large discs, two per gate, with circles emanating from each disc like wave patterns. Below the large discs are small discs, with semi-circular patterns emanating out from them.

    Remarks: 
    These are the first gates made by the artist and were inspired by ones he had seen in Europe. The gates were commissioned for the library. Billingsley was a student who worked with Tsutakawa on this project.
