    Description: 
    An American eagle with wings outspread is mounted atop a granite stele base that tapers slightly towards the top. The base is set upon three concrete slabs of graduated size.

    The sculpture honors soldiers of all American wars. The sculpture committee included representatives from Burr Oak's American Legion and Auxiliary, the Women's Relief Corps, the Commercial Club and Burr Oak township. The sculpture was dedicated on Memorial Day, May 30, 1931. IAS files contain a related article from the Topeka Capital, May 10, 1931.
