    Description: 
    Obelisk topped by seated bronze sculpture of Lady Liberty. The female figure wears a World War I helmet and holds a staff crowned by an eagle.

    Remarks: 
    Bronze torches which were originally on the four corners of the base were vandalized and removed. James Novelli sculpted the figure of Lady Liberty; A. Raphael Beck designed the obelisk. Although originally commerating the veterans of World War I, additional plaques have been added to commemorate veterans of all wars, particulary those of the Korean and Vietnam wars. The Lockport Men's Community Club, Inc. gathered donations for the memorial.
