Formerly located School & Franklin Streets, Quincy, Massachusetts until 1971.

The sculpture was erected by the Monument Committee of the Clan MacGregor No. 5 of the Order of Scottish Clans of America. The original Monument Committee was formed in 1901 and it took twenty years of fund raising to erect the monument to Robert Burns. The purpose of the sculpture is to recognize the Scottish people and their ancestors who played such an important role in helping to establish and shape the destiny of Quincy. Barnicoat Studio created the granite and marble base work. The sculpture was originally installed at School and Franklin Streets, but it was moved to its current site in 1971.
