Remarks:
The keystone and cornerstone were recovered from the Old White County Courthouse, after a 1974 tornado destroyed much of it, and installed on the grounds of the new White County Courthouse in 1975. The old courthouse was designed by LaBelle and French, a Marion, Indiana architectural firm. Contractors for the courthouse were the Barnett and Record Company. The courthouse was built in 1894.
