    Remarks:
Sculpture is a solar equinox marker. On the days of the equinox, March 21 and Sept. 21, the sun's rays pass through the aperture in the piece and strike the sphere on the ground. IAS files contain the text of a nearby plaque which explains how the equinox works with the sculpture. IAS files also contain a Dallas Morning News article describing how the sculpture works during the equinox.
