    Description: 
    Two full-length bas-relief figures on either side of the entrance to a building. On the west side of the entrance a man stands with his arms akimbo. He wears swimming trunks. A towel hangs over his proper right arm. On the east side of the entrance a woman stands holding a towel draped behind her legs. She wears a one-piece swimsuit and looks to the proper right. The concrete figures are white; the background is painted light blue.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture and the building were a Public Works Administration project. Heinsbergen served as color consultant on the project and Austin was the architect. The swim stadium was formerly known as the "El Segundo Plunge". IAS files contain copy of related 1992 city building survey.
