    Description: 
    Twenty-one historical medical symbols, positioned on a wall fifteen feet above ground level. Included is a human figure, representing man and Aesculapius, receiving the gifts of healing powers from Chiron; a lion, Assyrian symbol of protection; a Babylonian sheep's liver; a whip used by Mesopotamians to flagellate evil spirits from patients; an Egyptian Eye of Horus (or present day pharmaceutical RX symbol), additional Egyptian symbols; and a caduceus (from Classical antiquity, representing the staff of Aesculapius and entwined serpent).
