H. 4 in., octagonal diameter: 10 ft. set into approx. 20 ft. planter. Inscription:  unsigned Description:  Abstract set of wings referring to the mythological phoenix. Wings are shaped from copper and brass sheeting using green patina to separate the "feathers," which are welded, wedge-shaped elements that interlock. The piece rests on an octagonal base constructed of cast concrete blocks which depict simplified palm fronds.
