Lower, smaller grills depict the lower orders of life, the sea and water life. Intermediate panels depict Adam and Eve and land life including birds. The third stage represents imagination. In the eight larger grills at the top of the tower the decorative form is carried by two types of trees: deciduous in four of the grills and moss-draped southern trees in four grills. At the base of the trees are flamingoes and baboons. A number of birds are also in the trees.
