Subject:  History -- United States -- Revolution Allegory -- Civic -- Liberty Figure group Object -- Musical Instrument -- Bell Object -- Other -- Flag Object Type:  Painting Mural Owner:  Old Lehigh County Courthouse, Room 200, Allentown, Pennsylvania Provenance:  Formerly located Liberty Trust Company, Allentown, Pennsylvania 1923-1976. Remarks:  The mural's subject matter is based on a real event --the removal of the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia to Allentown for safekeeping during the Revolutionary War. The mural was commissioned for the Liberty Trust Company in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After the bank closed the mural was relocated in 1976 to the Old Lehigh County Courthouse.
