The sculpture was named after Donna Moore, a graduate student, who was a driving force behind its creation. The sculpture was created by Hans Van Der Bovenkamp with the assistance of sculpture students. SOS! report lists sculpture media as stainless steel, newspaper gives aluminum. The sculpture was stored temporarily outside the Fine Arts Building before being moved to its present location. IAS files contain related articles from the Weekend section of the Columbia Missourian (Columbia, MO), Oct. 25, 1991, pg. 11; and the Mizzou Weekly, May 1982, pg. 7.
