Description:
A sundial with two perpendicular rings forming the outer edges of a sphere. At each polar end there are two smaller rings. The sphere is tilted on its axis at a 45 degree angle, and is mounted in a four-legged stand. In the center of the sphere, and across half of the perimeter is a six inch brass band upon which numbers appear (1-12). On an elongated figure-eight shape in the center of this band are signs of the zodiac.
Above is another band with Roman numerals attached at the top, reading: VI VII IX X XI XII I II III IV V VI. Around the tilted horizontal ring are 12 smaller circles with missing parts; only three have parts remaining, showing signs of the zodiac.
