    Description:
A grouping of three sculptures of Our Lady of LaSalette placed atop a base of mortared white quartz rocks that also incorporates a fountain. A fourth figure stands in front of the base. All are placed within an A-frame structure that is topped by a cross adorned at its arms with pincers and a hammer. The central statue shows Our Lady standing. Her arms are folded; her eyes closed; her head raised slightly. The proper left statue shows Our Lady standing, with her head bowed forward and tears falling from her proper right eye. The proper right statue of Our Lady shows her seated on a rock and weeping. She sits with her elbows on her knees and her head bowed forward, her face buried in her hands. At her feet are roses. All three figures of Our Lady are dressed alike. Each wears a robe with long sleeves, a hood and a crown of roses that resemble vertical rays. Each wears a vest-like garment ornamented on its edges with roses and a chain-like decoration, a necklace with a crucifix, and their shoes are topped with crosses.

    Remarks:
The sculptures are believed to have been installed shortly after the property was deeded to the LaSalette community in the 1950's, most likely between 1953 and 1962. The figure of the seated weeping Our Lady may be by A. Da. Prato Company -- see similar weeping figure IAS record NH000286, also at LaSalette.
