An ornamental fountain with a circular bowl supported by a pedestal that resembles a forest tree trunk. The base of the tree trunk has arched holes on each side resembling roots. Leaves, vines, and flowers adorn the tree trunk and fountain bowl. Water sprays from the center of the fountain bowl and overflows into a square basin of rustic brick topped with stone or cast stone. The corners of the basin are cut out by semicircular planters. The fountain is painted green.

The fountain was previously located at Wormsloe Plantation in Savannah, and is sometimes referred to as the "Wormsloe Fountain." It was installed at its current site as part of a renovation project for Columbia Square that was paid for by an Urban Beautification Grant (a federal Urban Renewal program). The landscape plan was designed by Sam Monk, Director of the Park and Tree Department. The color of the fountain, "Swamp Root" green, is a Martin-Senour Paint Company color based on old Savannah colors. A plaque on the east side of the surrounding wall reads: FOUNTAIN FROM WORMSLOE/GIVEN IN MEMORY OF/AUGUSTA AND WYMBERLEY DERENNE/BY THEIR DAUGHTER/EUDORA/1970.
