    Remarks:
According to Robert M. Vogel's "A Report of the Mohawk-Hudson Area Survey," Smithsonian Institution, the sculpture is a portrait of Samuel Garner, principal developer of Harmony Mills; however, a pamphlet "Cohoes Centennial, 1870-1970," identifies the man as Thomas Garner, the principal stock holder of Harmony Mills. The sculpture was designed by Millman of Boston and cast by Ames Manufacturing Company.
