    Masks, prow and stern figures decorate this boat-shaped construction. Figures include reclining male, little mermaid, and sea mother. The theme is the delights and terrors of the sea.

    Remarks: 
    Erected for the estate of James Deering. In 1978, casts of the balustrade statues replaced the originals. At one time the sculpture was piped for water spouts. The piece suffered extensive damage in the hurricane of 1992, and at time of SOS! survey, was being restored. IAS files contain related models and sketches.
