    Description: 
    Vertical, rectangular marker stands on a two-tiered base. There are two relief plaques. One plaque contains a full-length figure of George Warren. He wears late 19th century mining clothes including a wide-brimmed hat, open shirt, undershirt, trousers and shoes. He leans on a pick handle held in his proper left hand and rests his proper right elbow on a pile of rocks. The other plaque has the dedicatory text and a relief of a palm frond.

    Remarks: 
    George Warren was a miner associated with the Copper Queen Mine. He likeness is used on the Arizona State Seal. IAS files include an excerpt from "Museums and Other Attractions of Arizona's Smaller Communities," by Korene Charnofsky Cohen and Dale C. Cohen (Tucson, AZ: Dancing Unicorn Press, 1993).
