Saint Vincent de Paul, a French priest, stands holding a baby to his chest in his proper right arm. A small girl stands by his proper left side holding her robe with her proper left hand. Saint Vincent de Paul's proper left hand rests on the little girl's shoulder.

St. Vincent's Center, where the sculpture is located, formerly known as St. Vincent Academy. Shreveport Monument Company obtained the statue, created the base and erected the statue in the Fall of 1962.
