    Provenance:
Formerly in the collection of Sisters of Charity, 301 South Ripley Street, St. Margaret's Hospital, Front entrance, Montgomery, Alabama Until 1989.
    Remarks:
Sculpture was publicly commissioned. Queen Margaret of Scotland, 1046-1093, was a benefactress to the poor and was made a saint by the Catholic Church. Sculpture was donated by Nelson and Jane Daniel in honor of Sister Almeda Golson. It was originally owned by the Sisters of Charity and was located at the front entrance of St. Margaret's Hospital, now Montgomery-Human Hospital. Sculpture was moved to its current location after the Sisters of Charity sold the hospital to the Humana Corporation in 1989. The original dedication was to have been November 22, 1985, but due to inclement weather was changed to April 4, 1986. IAS files contain transcriptions of plaques on two nearby markers
