Description:  A figure of Melanie Calvat wearing a long dress, an apron with a bow tied around her waist, and a bonnet with a bow around her neck. She stands on a hillside, with her proper left hand raised in a waving gesture. Box 420, LaSalette Garden, Enfield, New Hampshire 03748 Remarks:  One of a grouping of three, the sculpture commemorates the Virgin Mary's apparition in 1846 at LaSalette, France to two children, Maximin Giraud and Melanie Calvat who were watching their cows in the French Alps.
