(On brass plaque on top of base:) A FRIEND unsigned Founder's mark appears. Description:  A figure of Maximin Giraud, dressed in a short cloak, a brimmed hat, and shoes. He stands on a hillside with his proper left hand slightly raised and his proper left hand holding a staff. Box 420, LaSalette Garden, Enfield, New Hampshire 03748 Remarks:  One of a grouping of three, the sculpture commemorates the Virgin Mary's apparition in 1846 at LaSalette, France to two children, Maximin Giraud and Melanie Calvat who were watching their cows in the French Alps.
