Description:  Stylized representation of a rooster. Subject:  Animal -- Bird -- Chicken Religion -- New Testament -- Mark Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Kentucky -- Louisville Sculpture Owner:  Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, 1044 Alta Vista Road, Adjacent to the chapel, Louisville, Kentucky 40205 Remarks:  The sculpture is a Biblical reference to Christ's statement to Peter, "Before the cock crows, you will deny me three times," Mark 14:30. It was dedicated in 1969 and was a gift to the Seminary from the landscape architect Campbell Miller, who designed the new seminary campus. The sculpture has been stolen several times.
