Each carries binoculars, but only one of the men is using them to follow the birds. The other man looks up at the sky and shields his eyes with his proper right hand. The woman looks up at the sky and points out something with her raised proper left hand. Each figure is installed on its on flat square base positioned in a row along the balcony of the library.
