Remarks:
Funds for the bust and 7 plaques were donated through The Swedish Colonial Society, Philadelphia. Swedish black granite monolith base was gift of VASA order of America in Sweden. Spencer Sign Company fabricated raised bronze letter on monolith. Report for the artist noted that the piece was dated 1967, but SOS! survey noted the date in the inscription as 1966.
