Description:  Brigadier General Enoch Poor stands dressed in a Revolutionary War uniform. His head is turned slightly to the proper right. He wears a tricorn hat, a buttoned vest under a jacket with tails and brocaded shoulders, and knee-high boots with spurs. The sculpture is mounted on a base in front of a taller backdrop. It commemorates Brigadier General Enoch Poor (1736-1780), who died near Hackensack, New Jersey during the Revolutionary War. A newspaper article in IAS files, dated Sept. 1976, refers to the finish of the sculpture as gilded. Nearby plaque reads: GEN. ENOCH POOR/REGARDED BY WASHINGTON/AND LAFAYETTE AS A GREAT/GENERAL.
