Inscription:  FROM/JEFFERSON MEDICAL COLLEGE OF PHILADELPHIA/BY THE CLASS OF 1853-4 Description:  The stone is carved in relief with a circular emblem depicting a profile portrait of Thomas Jefferson, with an inscription carved in relief appearing above and below the emblem, as well in around the inside edge of the circular emblem. The outer edges of the stone are carved with a decorative border. The stones were donated by states, cities, towns, organizations, individuals, and foreign countries in honor of George Washington. The class of 1853-1854 of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia donated the stone, which is located at the 280 ft. level.
