Description:
Bronze relief panel, rectangular in shape, depicting standing figures of Admiral
Farragut
and Commander Buchanan facing each other, with inscription between them.
Farragut
stands on the proper right side, while Buchanan stands on the proper left. Both men are dressed in military uniforms with long belted jackets, caps, and swords. The relief panel is mounted on a freestanding wall consisting of brick recessed within granite posts and lintel. A separate bronze relief of a battleship is mounted on the front of the lintel. There is a planter along the lower section of the brick section of the wall.
