    Description:
Bas-relief panels decorate the facade of a building. Above the front entrance to the building is a mural featuring nine panels depicting early California life. The panels are arranged in three rows of three panels and are separated vertically by two fluted columns. Each of the column is topped with a man's head done in high relief. The head on the left is comic; the head on the right is tragic. The top center panel shows two men running a motion picture camera; the other panels depict dancers from various cultures and historical periods. The sides of the building are decorated with concrete pillars featuring bas-relief full-length figures. The figures decorate each of the three exposed sides of the pillars. The figures are mythical in character and costume. One of the figures is Pan playing the pipes. The background of the bas-relief panels is painted red.
