    Remarks: 
    Gift of the Italian citizens of Rhode Island to commemorate the sixth centenary of the death of Dante Alighieri (1265-1321), an Italian poet. This piece is based on a sixteenth century mask made in Ravenna. Sculptor was director of Dante League of America.
