Description:
Youthful portrait of Moore wearing a high-collared shirt and a bow tie. His head is turned slightly to his proper right and he looks off to the right, toward the pond in the southeast corner of the park. The bust sits on a three-tiered granite base which is corniced with beveled edges.

Remarks:
Thomas Moore, an Irish poet, best remembered for his biography of Lord Byron (1830) and his "Irish Melodies" (1808-1834) which included his most popular poem, "The Last Rose of Summer." June 1993 SOS survey contained note stating "conservation sculpture treatment August 1993."
