    Description: 
    A two-piece sculpture with a bust of trainer Charles Whittingham and a statue of his dog Toby looking up at him, each set on separate bases. The bust has a "rust red" finish and is mounted upon a rectangular base with an upper pedestal of mottled marble. The statue of Toby is set to Whittingham's proper left. Toby sits on his haunches with his tail wrapped over his proper right hind foot, and wears a collar with "255" on the tag on the front. The dog has a dark grey finish and is mounted upon a square base with an upper section of mottled marble.

    The sculpture commemorates Charles Whittingham, the all-time leading trainer at Santa Anita Park, and his dog Toby. It was sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Antoine Bonner. Toby died in 1994.
