He is holding the javelin in his proper right hand, which is poised to throw the object. His proper left arm is curved in front of him, as though for balance, and his feet are wide apart, as though he has taken a giant step. The figure is muscular. He is shirtless and barefoot, but wears trousers. His hair is short and curly, and his expression is one of grim determination.
