Portrait of Billy Kidd

. He wears a cowboy hat, sunglasses, a long-sleeved jacket and gloves. He holds a ski pole in each hand and appears to be going over uneven terrain. The sculpture is welded and set atop concrete base in middle of a planter.

Remarks:
Commissioned by former Steamboat Ski & Resort Chairman, Martin Hart (Steamboat, CO), who donated the sculpture to Ski Corporation. The sculpture commemorates William Winston Kidd, Olympic Silver Medalist and world champion skier. The sculpture's ski poles have been stolen twice. IAS files contain related articles from Steamboat Magazine, Winter/Spring 1993, pg. 110; and Winter/Spring 1992, pg. 110 with information on the sculpture's creation.
