Inscription:  (Incised to right of figure:) BADMINTON/BASEBALL/HANDBALL/PING PONG/ARCHERY/FENCING/SOCCER/TRACK unsigned Description:  Full-length relief of a female athlete on building facade. She wears a short above-the knee length skirt and a short-sleeved top with a square neck. Her proper left arm and encircles a ball. She has shoulder-length hair. The sculpture is full-round at the top, in high relief at the upper parts of the figure and becomes more integral with the facade from about the legs down. The figure of the Girl and her companion sculpture "The Boy" (see IAS record NY001029) were designed by the architect Carl W. Clark and executed from plaster models by McCallom.
