Gausta signed Description:  Scene of a preacher speaking to a group of eight attentive women, men and children in a domestic setting. Women and girls are dressed in clothing reminiscent of traditional Norwegian attire. The preacher stands at the head of a table, holding a book in his right hand and gesturing out with the other hand. The painting was deaccessioned from the collection of Luther College in Nov. 1990 and transferred to the Vesterheim.
