Description:
Bronze bust of a World War II
marine
. He looks to his proper left. He has a moustache and a slight beard. He wears a helmet with the chin straps dangling and an open shirt with dogtags around the neck. The sculpture rests on a concrete column which ends in a square base.

Remarks:
The sculpture is one in a series of eleven busts of soldiers done by the artist representing each of the major wars in which America has been involved. Cost of the sculpture was about $15,000. Funds for the sculpture came from donations. IAS files contain copy of related article from The Star, Aug. 4, 1993 and copy of related Hospital information sheet. The dogtags around the figure's neck were the artist's own from World War II.
